Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mobile Care Chicago is not taking on new volunteers at this time. When volunteer opportunities are open again, we’ll post on Instagram and facebook. Thank you for your interest!

As our Asthma Vans and Dental Van travel across the Chicago providing medical and dental care for thousands of low-income families, Mobile Care’s small staff relies on the efforts of volunteers to widen our impact in the community.

Most of our volunteer opportunities are suited for people who are consistently willing to carve out a few hours to make a difference. As such, in order to join our volunteer group, most opportunities require an individual to do the following:

Work one shift either weekly or bi-weekly, either 9am-noon or 1pm-4pm, any day Monday through Friday (excluding holidays).

Make at least a 3 month commitment. Many of the things we ask volunteers to do require training and on-going communication with families.

Be able to provide their own transportation. Though many volunteers work in conjunction with a school close to their home, and therefore don’t have to worry about this as much, our office and some sites we work with require an individual to own a vehicle or know how to navigate public transit.
