We are excited to announce that Mobile Care Chicago has been selected as a recipient of the 2025 White Sox Diamond Impact Award! The award is a $125,000 one-time grant to continue project-based initiatives supporting youth education and advancement, children and families in crisis, and health and wellness programming.
Chicago White Sox Charities and the White Sox selected Diamond Impact Award recipients following a multiphase application process that included a public call for letters of intent, internal evaluation by a designated front office committee, and a formal grant proposal submission.
“We are thrilled to join forces with these outstanding grant recipients, selected from a truly inspiring applicant pool for their dedication to addressing unique needs throughout our community,” said Christine O’Reilly, CWSC Executive Director and White Sox Senior Vice President of Community Relations.
As Mobile Care Chicago celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, the organization will use these funds to kick-off a much-needed expansion of the Dental Van program through the purchase of a second mobile unit— enabling our team to reach more patients than ever before.
“It means a lot that our neighbors, just a few blocks from our headquarters, have recognized our work in this way,” said Matt Siemer, MCC Executive Director. ”We are excited and proud to be able to partner with the Sox to reach more kids who are currently not receiving the oral healthcare they need due to access barriers in their neighborhoods. We’re incredibly thankful to the Chicago White Sox Charities for their dedication to helping us keep kids in school and out of pain, so they can stay focused on their dreams–like becoming a baseball player for the best city in the world!”
