
Launching a mobile clinic is no small feat, and we understand that it comes with inherent risks. There are many potential (and expensive) mistakes that can be made with mobile clinics that could potentially shutter a nonprofit for good. However, after 25 years of experience providing care to families aboard mobile clinics, we are certain that we can use our past experiences to empower other essential nonprofits to extend their reach to more patients than ever before.
We are excited to introduce a groundbreaking initiative at Mobile Care Chicago—the Community Dispatch! The Community Dispatch is our brand new communal garage, which serves as a pillar of our Community Health Incubator Initiative, designed to empower local leaders and organizations committed to improving health access and equity in underserved communities across Chicagoland.
The Community Dispatch offers a collaborative space where local organizations can connect, share resources, and receive expert guidance on tackling health disparities. With 18,000 sq. ft. of garage space and gated parking, our facility provides essential amenities, including access to shore power, storage, and shared office space. We also offer sliding scale fees for usage to accommodate the needs of various nonprofits.
By providing these resources, we aim to alleviate the challenges that many small nonprofits face in reaching their patients, helping continue their vital work without risking their organization’s livelihood to do so. Supporting local organizations aligns with Mobile Care Chicago’s goal to provide greater health access and community-driven solutions to families in Chicago.
