We are thrilled to introduce the first partner joining our new Community Dispatch initiative: Humboldt Park Health (HPH). Serving Humboldt Park for 125 years, Humboldt Park Health aligns perfectly with MCC’s mission to increase healthcare accessibility and reduce health disparities. This partnership, anchored in shared values, brings essential preventive services to underserved areas. José R. Sánchez, President and CEO of Humboldt Park Health, emphasizes, “Advancing Health Equity requires that we work to remove obstacles to health, such as poverty, systemic racism, discrimination, and their consequences.” Leveraging partnerships, new technology, and community programs, Humboldt Park Health continues to enhance healthcare access and quality for underserved residents.
As part of this collaboration, HPH will house its mobile medical and dental clinics in Mobile Care Chicago’s brand-new Community Dispatch facility, where their vehicles will remain clean, secure, and temperature-regulated. This setup empowers the HPH teams to stay ready and equipped to serve the community with high-quality, accessible care at all times. Humboldt Park Health and Mobile Care Chicago have been close partners for many years, and we are excited to enhance our mutual work on behalf of the communities we both serve.
With access to our 18,000 sq. ft. garage, resources, and collaborative space, Humboldt Park Health will be well-equipped to expand their impact and enhance the services they offer. The Community Dispatch is designed to support organizations by providing:
- Access to the MCC Flex Van
- Collaboration with healthcare professionals, community organizers, and public health advocates
- Essential tools and tips for operating mobile clinics
- Connections with maintenance experts
- Storage options tailored for mobile health services
