Over the past few weeks, we’ve been overwhelmed by the love, kindness, and support you’ve shown following the loss of our Executive Director, Matt Siemer, and his wife, A.J. Barks, Co-Executive Director of Chicago Women’s Health Center. We are so grateful for your thoughtful messages, and your generous donations at this time. They have meant more than we can put into words.
A mass to celebrate Matt and A.J.’s lives will be held by their families at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Florissant, Missouri (751 N. Jefferson Street) on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Those who wish to gather earlier are welcome to arrive at 10:00 a.m. to share stories, connect, and be together ahead of the service.

Loss is never easy, but one of its small graces is witnessing the kindness and care of those around us during hard times. In that way, we still have Matt with us: the belief that people are capable of so much good was something he held close. Thank you for helping us continue Matt and A.J.’s legacy by showing up with care, compassion, and love.
