“I’m hopeful that by offering compassionate, high quality care, we’re able to break through a layer of mistrust or defensiveness. In many disinvested areas, care feels transactional. Patients are seen as billables, not as people. I want them to walk away believing that individualized care exists, and that their unique well-being matters.”
-Matt Siemer, MCC’s late Executive Director
It is a simple truth that no specialty practice is designed to meet the human body’s every need, and no non-profit is capable of ending poverty alone. Doing our part in fostering a coalition of like-minded organizations expands our collective impact!

Matt’s Favorite Things
Responsibilities occasionally must be put on hold for dessert.
One afternoon last summer, Matt blocked off his calendar to properly celebrate his executive assistant’s one-year anniversary at MCC. They re-emerged at the office two hours later, having trekked 45 minutes southwest to Andy’s Custard in search of Chicago’s best frozen custard, according to Matt. (This excursion was followed by a game of frisbee in a park, which, can you blame them? Chicago in the summer!)
Now, are we suggesting that you drive out past Midway airport in freezing cold weather to go eat frozen custard? ..Yes, that’s exactly what we’re suggesting. And not just because it’s delicious, but because it makes for a great story, which we all know Matt would have loved.
A Tribute that Sticks
The Mobile Community Health Incubator is living infrastructure. It takes intention, maintenance, and collective investment to sustain. As we honor Matt, we are also ensuring this work remains strong and viable long-term.In the spirit of honoring his favorite things, Matt genuinely *loved* stickers. Anyone who donates $20 or more will receive a limited-edition holographic bumper sticker as a small thank you and tribute.
